Biafi: Amphibian Plant

Part of the amphibian family, Biafi usually lives in damp and cooling climates around cavern entrances. Often mistaken as tadpoles during young, their only differences are their leaf-like feelers and rough-looking tail. They eventually lose their gills and grow legs for climbing over rocks. Biafi's heads are more solid compared to other parts of their body. It acts as an arrow that pierces through the water and accelerates at high speed. The head is also a tool for camouflage when hovering above the water. Combining these two skills makes them a fearsome predator to fishes and small birds. Their rough tail produces poisonous white glands when touched and indigestion when eaten. Often these are collected to make antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and blood cleansers. Biafi's heads are known for their medicinal properties to heal any sensitive skin conditions. Although, it's rare to find them nowadays as they are on the brink of extinction.
