Inktober52 2025: Shrimp

What if the host didn’t survive—but the parasite did?
A design created for the “Shrimp” prompt from Inktober52, reimagined with a horror-twist: a parasite that mutated and took on a humanoid form, wearing the remains of its host like armour.

Rather than portraying a shrimp directly, I chose to explore what happens when the unseen becomes dominant.
This creature was once a parasite—small, unnoticeable—until it grew and merged with its host. The shrimp’s shell is now part of their body armor, and the human figure inside retains only fragmented memories of its origin.

Design-wise, the curled pose mimics both the shrimp’s natural curl and a defensive fetal posture—vulnerable, yet weaponized.
